Streamline Designs Continues Significant Role in
ASTM Standards Development for Light Sport Aircraft
October 2008-Miami, FL
In early October, Adam Morrison of Streamline Designs led the ASTM F37.20 airplane subcommittee meetings, where he serves as chairman. Several key ballot items were moved forward, including the passing of a new Pilot's Operating Handbook standard for fixed-wing LSA.
In addition to the meetings, Adam also conducted an ASTM workshop on LSA Design Compliance. Tom Gunnarson of the FAA kicked off the workshop with a compliance overview and Adam followed with an interactive and technical follow-up. Adam also moderated a panel discussion on LSA compliance issues and provided valuable Q&A time with fellow panelists Earl Lawrence of EAA and Tom Gunnarson of FAA.
