Streamline Designs Recognized As
Service Provider for LAMA LSA Audit Program

At Sun-N-Fun 2007, LAMA announced the first completed LAMA Light Sport Aircraft Audits and issued four manufacturers special LAMA LSA audit stickers to be affixed to their aircraft. At this same announcement, Streamline Designs was recognized as the provider for the technical portion of the LAMA audit program.

The LAMA LSA audit program is a voluntary, third-party external audit that verifies the compliance of a manufacturer and specific aircraft with the ASTM consensus standards for LSA.

For the technical portion of the audit program, Streamline Designs reviews manufacturer's documentation related to design and performance of LSA aircraft. These documents are cross-checked with the ASTM consensus standards for understanding of specific requirements, and the appropriateness, completeness and accuracy of compliance.

EAA has shown strong support for these third-party audits, encouraging members to look for the LAMA decal to identify aircraft and manufacturers which stand out above others, having been voluntarily and independently evaluated.
