Adam and Marcie Morrison
The Morrisons' combination of engineering knowledge and practical experience delivers solutions ranging from whole system design to the resolution of very specific field, customer, and supplier issues. Marcie's fast-paced intensity is balanced with Adam's thorough and innovative nature.
Adam's experience with execution of the Product Design Process for FAA certificated product includes capturing customer requirements, concept generation, detailed design, system and component modeling, analysis, prototyping, and test. Always thinking “outside of the box,” he has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to deliver successful, innovative solutions for the demanding aerospace industry. Adam currently serves as Chairman of ASTM International Subcommittee F37.20 on Fixed-Wing Light Sport Aircraft as well as Vice-Chairman for the entire committee and has been a guest speaker on Ultraflight Radio and at various aviation-related safety seminars. An instructor for LSA technical and compliance training, Adam also enjoys quality time in the machine shop and sipping coffee while planning his next flight.
Marcie’s wide range of experience as an engineer highlights the diversity of her skill set. She has successfully led Quality and Method Improvement activity, driving down manufacturing reject-rates, and managed multi-million dollar government defense contracts for Component Improvement Programs. As an effective communicator, Marcie enjoys facilitating management meetings and various workshops, including Value Stream Mapping, and Design for Cost, Manufacturability, Assembly, and Supply Chain.
Adam and Marcie met at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where they both received their degrees in mechanical engineering. Adam's coursework was also concentrated on aeronautical/aerospace engineering, economics, and engineering consultation. Adam and Marcie have been married for 10 years and have two sons and a daughter: Albie, Asa, and Maile.
Severin and Amy Kempf
Severin and Amy have been married for 5 years and have three children: Simon, Lucy, and Adrian. Severin has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MS in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on fluid dynamics, from Virginia Tech. Amy holds a BS in Biology from Marymount Univeristy and a DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
Severin's experiences in both large corporations and as a small-business research engineer have given him a unique perspective on project research from conception to application of results. His experience in testing setup and data collection marries well with his strength as a computational analyst. He has completed projects ranging from computational fluid dynamic analysis, design and modeling, material selection, and fabrication processes. Severin enjoys new methods development and adds research, analytical, and aerodynamics expertise to the Streamline Designs team.
Both families are eager to continue to develop a faith and family-friendly work environment at Streamline Designs.
